1. Which watch brands do you look after?
We look after the repair and service for these watch brands - Seiko, Pulsar, Lorus and Seiko clocks.
 
2. What should I do if my watch or clock needs repair?
The service and repair division of Seiko UK Ltd. is at the head office in Maidenhead. You should send your watch/clock to: SUKL, Vanwall Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4UW.

To have your repair processed as quickly as possible, please take the following steps:
  • fully describe the problems/symptoms you are having with your watch/clock
  • include your guarantee or proof of purchase if the watch/clock is still within the guarantee period
  • make sure that your name and address are shown on both the outside of the package (as a return address) and on the correspondence inside
  • include your postal code with your address details
  • keep a record of your calibre/case number (the xxxx-xxxx code on the back of the watch) and the serial number (if present) from the back of your watch for reference
  • insure the postal package if you wish to protect yourself in case of a loss in transit, and wherever possible, use a postal service that allows tracing of the delivery
  • package the timepiece well to protect it from damage during transit
  • do not send the presentation box
 
3. Can I order parts for my watch?
We are pleased to supply straps and bracelets to the public via Customer Services. Other parts are only available to trade customers. Please call 01628 770988 for assistance.
 
4. What are your office opening hours?
Our standard office opening hours are 09:00 to 17:30. The Customer Service Department will answer telephone calls (01628 770988) and respond to emails (service@seiko.co.uk) between 08:30 and 17:30. These times are subject to change for training or other staffing purposes.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer a walk in Service at our reception. We regret that we cannot accept items for repair at reception for security reasons.
 
5. I have just received my Kinetic watch back following repair and it is not working - why?
The watch needs to be worn for 2 weeks following the repair to build up the power reserve.
 
6. How much does it cost for a repair to my watch?
The price of your repair can vary depending upon many different factors, like the watch brand, the age of the watch, its water resistancy, the type of watch, etc. Our price lists can be accessed by using the links at the bottom of this page, or you can contact Customer Services on 01628 770988 to obtain an estimate.
 
7. How long does the guarantee last?
Your watch guarantee is authorised for 24 months from the date of purchase from an authorised dealer, and only if the guarantee card is fully completed. 12 months for International guarantee, as stipulated in the booklet. Clocks are guaranteed for 12 months.
 
8. What does "water resistant" mean?
When the watch states "water resistant only" it means it will withstand accidental splashes but is not suitable for immersion in water.
 
9. My watch is water resistant to 100 metres. Do I have to send it to SEIKO for a new battery and to be resealed?
In general, most jewellers do not have the facilities to pressure test a watch, therefore we recommend all water resistant watches to any depth are returned to us for repair.

10. How long will it take to repair my watch?
From the receipt of estimate proceed instruction on average we quote 7-10 working days to complete a service.
 
11. Do you have a catalogue of your watches - can you send me one?

12. Internet Purchase Warning
Seiko believes that the best way for you to select and purchase a Seiko watch is at one of our authorized retail stores.

Seiko, therefore, recommends that you do not purchase a Seiko watch through any website, unless it is an authorised Seiko dealer with the same emblem "SEIKO AUTHORISED DEALER SITE" as appears here on this home page.

Some non-authorized sites sell counterfeit or second-hand watches, or watches that have been tampered with, and are, therefore, not eligible for care under the Seiko warranty. Others do not offer the original Seiko International warranty, nor do they offer any after-sales service of any kind.
